In 1985, the third year of the ZMF, the festival moved out onto the green meadow of the Mundenhof animal enclosure, seven kilometers outside the city. What began with Euro-pallet paths in the stubble field is now a very special tent city in the countryside. In addition to the Zirkuszelt, the heart of our festival, our grounds offer you a beautiful mirror tent (Badische Zeitung Zelt), three admission-free stages, cool shade on our hill, various tasty treats and refreshing drinks with a view of beautiful sunsets.

Opening Hours
The ZMF is located approx. 7 km from Freiburg city center, directly next to the Tier-Erlebnis-Park-Mundenhof.
Our festival site is open at the following times
MO – FR from 6 pm to 1 am
SA from 4 pm to 2 am
SU from 1 pm to 1 am (admission to the matinees 30 minutes before the start of the event).

Stages
The main program takes place in the Zirkuszelt and the Badische Zeitung Zelt. The circus tent is the larger of the two. The Badische Zeitung tent is located right at the entrance to the grounds.
In the Fürstenberg Zelt and open air on the Fürstenberg Bühne and the cabaret stage, concerts and cabaret can be experienced every day as part of the action program (= free admission). In case of bad weather, the open-air concerts will be moved to the Fürstenberg Zelt if possible.
As the name suggests, the hill tent is located on the hill. This is where hands-on activities take place, such as the artificial turf.
There will also be a musical program in the ZMF garden on selected days.

Food & Drinks
The various food stalls offer visitors a diverse selection of savory and sweet delicacies.
The stalls are open:
MO – FR from 6 pm to 1 am
SA from 4 pm to 2 am
SO from 1 pm to 1 am

ZMF-Garden
Linger on our terrace with a view of the festival or relax in the lounge corner. You will find the ZMF garden just to the right of the Zirkuszelt
The Fallerhof from Bad Krozingen Hausen will be welcoming visitors to the ZMF garden this summer with seasonal and regional dishes.

Paramedics on site
There will be paramedics on site and at the concerts in case of an emergency.
Do not hesitate to contact them directly if you or someone else around you needs help.
Our security staff, the admission staff or the staff at the bars can also help you and contact the paramedics quickly if necessary.
The St. John tent is located at the entrance to the festival site.

Safety Measures
The safety of our visitors is very important to us. The Zlt-Musik-Festival should be a place where everyone can enjoy culture and music without any worries.
Access to the site
The site is accessible to visitors via a side to the east. There are no entry gates at the entrance to the site, allowing for an open character of the site. However, checks are carried out and security personnel are on duty.
Access to the site is difficult due to the routing and existing infrastructure (trees, bollards), so no additional concrete barriers are necessary.
Access to the concerts with a ticket
There are increased control measures at the entrance gates.
Backpacks or bags larger than A4 are not permitted. To avoid long waiting times, we ask you to leave rucksacks and larger bags at home when attending the ticketed concerts.

Kids Area
The ABC construction trailer on the hill slightly above the Hügellounge offers free childcare every day.
The opening hours are:
MO – FR from 6 pm to 9 pm
SA from 3:30 pm to 9 pm
SO 11 am to 9 pm
Here parents and their children will find a quiet corner with a sandpit and other play and craft activities.
