In the area of youth protection (pdf), many parents and guardians are faced with the question of whether their children and young people are allowed to attend concerts at the ZMF.
The following applies to the protection of minors:
6 years and older: generally allowed to attend concerts.
6-14 years: concert attendance only when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
14-18 years: concert attendance possible until midnight without a guardian.
The protection of minors in detail
Children may attend our concerts from the age of 6. Special restrictions apply to children’s events.
Children (6-14 years) may only attend concerts if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. In any case, it is mandatory to carry an official photo ID with you (no student ID or similar!). This generally applies to all concert visitors – including accompanying persons and persons to be accompanied.
Children are persons under 14 years of age, adolescents are persons between 14 and 18 years of age. Persons with parental authority are the mother and/or father or the guardian. Any person of legal age (over 18) can be a guardian if they actually carry out educational tasks with the consent of the parents – they must be able to fulfill supervisory duties within the scope of the task assigned, i.e. be able to guide and direct the young people entrusted to them. Please use the form available for download below to transfer the duty of supervision to a person responsible for education. Please follow all the instructions on the form!
Pop and other music concerts fall into the area of artistic activities and are not considered dance events. Therefore, the time restrictions for disco visits do not apply here and young people between the ages of 14 and 18 may attend a concert until midnight without a parent or guardian. In exceptional cases, however, a change to this regulation may be ordered by the authorities, in which case we will explicitly point this out.
