Accessibility

Parking spaces for people with disabilities are available in our parking lot. Please ask the parking lot staff how to use them.
Access to the grounds and concerts is possible for people with disabilities and wheelchair users, and there is also a disabled toilet on site.

We are constantly working on an inclusive festival and more accessibility. If you have any suggestions or feedback, please don’t hesitate to contact us!

Advanced Ticket Sales

Tickets are available online here or by calling the BZ ticket service on +49 761 496 8888 from 9 am – 12 pm.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at all offices of the Badische Zeitung, Mittelbadische Presse and Südkurier. In Freiburg at the BZ ticket service, Kaiser-Joseph-Straße 229
and at all Reservix ticket offices or online at www.reservix.de.

From May until the start of the festival, our red VVK container will also be located on the Platz der Alten Synagoge in Freiburg.
The opening hours are DO & FR from 12 pm to 6 pm and SA from 10 am – 3 pm.

ATM

There is a Sparkasse Freiburg-Nördlicher Breisgau cash machine on the festival site next to the box office at the entrance.

Badische Zeitung Zelt

The Badische Zeitung Zelt is our beautiful mirror tent near the entrance of the area. It is called Badische Zeitung Zelt since 2023.

Bikes

Lighted parking spaces are available for bikes directly at the festival site.
Since 2023, there has also been a bicycle checkroom that offers guarded parking.

There is also a Frelo station at the ZMF site (Frelo = rental bikes).

Box Office

The box office opens daily at 6 pm.
There is a separate ticket price at the box office.

Camping

Camping is not permitted on and around the site, as large parts of the surrounding area are a nature reserve!
Here are a few recommendations on where you can camp:

Children

The ZMF also has plenty on offer for the youngest visitors and families.
The children’s program always takes place on Thursdays and Saturdays at 2.30 pm in the Badische Zeitung tent.
Sunday is also Family Day, when there are several hands-on activities, workshops and fun games and crafts to discover!

There is also a children’s corner with free childcare every day.

Cigarettes

As we have to pick up every cigarette end by hand after the end of the festival, please use an ashtray.

Children & Teenager – Concert Visit

In the area of youth protection (pdf), many parents and guardians are faced with the question of whether their children and young people are allowed to attend concerts at the ZMF.

The following applies to the protection of minors:

6 years and older: generally allowed to attend concerts.
6-14 years: concert attendance only when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
14-18 years: concerts may be attended until midnight without a parent or guardian.

Clubnights

The ZMF invites all dancing queens and kings to the Badische Zeitung Zelt. On Friday and Saturday, the disco ball will be spinning here from around 11pm to drum’n’bass, house, hip-hop, soul, techno and everything that makes your body move. Look forward to the best DJ location of the Freiburg summer!

During the festival the office moves to the festival area and is not available in Merzhauser Straße!

Drinks

Drinks may not be taken into the tents. In summer temperatures, PET bottles up to 0.5 liters can be brought in, but we will remove the cap for safety reasons.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on a lead on the festival grounds. Dogs are not allowed in concerts.

Entrance

There will be increased control measures at the entrance gates when entering the tents for the paid main program.
Backpacks or bags larger than A4 are not permitted.

The entrance times are:

Zirkuszelt: 60 minutes before start
Badische Zeitung Zelt: 30 minutes before start

Families

The ZMF also has plenty on offer for the youngest visitors and families.

Sunday is also family day.

Food & Drinks

On the meadow hills in the neighborhood of the Mundenhof, the ZMF invites you to sit, listen and enjoy. This goes particularly well with a refreshing drink and various tasty treats to eat.

Drinks stands and all food stands are open:

MO – FR from 6 pm
SA from 4 pm
SU from 1 pm

Hearing protection

Take care of your hearing: At concerts, whistles in the audience can cause noise that can damage your hearing. Free earplugs will be provided at the box office.

Lakes

The nearest bathing lake is the Opfinger Baggersee, about 500 meters away.

Lost & Found

Lost property can be handed in at the box office. If you have lost something, please contact the box office or call 0761 50 40 333.

Merchandinsing

You can find ZMF merchandise at our merchandise container during the festival. During the year, you can also find most items in our online store here.

Merchandise from the performing bands and artists is sometimes sold at the respective events.

Motorbikes

There are signposted parking spaces at the entrance to the festival site.

Paramedics

There are paramedics on site and at the concerts in case of an emergency. The tent of the Johanniter is located in the entrance area, where you can visit them at any time.

Parking

There is limited parking available at the festival site for a parking fee of 10€, from 21:00 the fee is 5€.
Parking spaces for people with disabilities will be kept free. Please contact the parking lot staff.

There are no parking facilities in the districts Rieselfeld and Lehen!
Please use the P+R parking spaces on Munzinger Straße.

People with disabilities

Access to the grounds and concerts is possible for people with disabilities and wheelchair users, and there is also a disabled toilet on site.
Visitors with a certificate of entitlement for an accompanying person only pay for one ticket, the accompanying person is free. Tickets can be purchased from the BZ ticket service on 0761 496 8888. Disabled ID must be shown when purchasing and at the entrance.

Pictures & Videos

Photography and filming during concerts is strictly prohibited.

Phones

Handys sind bei Konzerten abzuschalten. Am Eingang der jeweiligen Zelte wird durch Beschilderung und das zuständige Sicherheitspersonal darauf hingewiesen.

Safety measures

Sicherheitsvorkehrungen

Access to the site:

The site is accessible to visitors via one side to the east. There are no entry gates at the entrance to the site, which allows for an open character of the site. However, checks are carried out and security personnel are on duty.
Access to the site is difficult due to the routing and existing infrastructure (trees, bollards), so no additional upstream concrete barriers are required.

Access to the concerts with a ticket:

There are increased control measures at the entrance gates.
Backpacks or bags larger than A4 are not permitted. In order to avoid long waiting times, we ask visitors to the ticketed concerts to leave rucksacks and larger bags at home.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in the Zirkuszelt and in the Badische Zeitung Zelt. Please throw your cigarette butts in the bins provided on the grounds – thank you!

Tickets can be purchased in advance at all offices of the Badische Zeitung, Mittelbadische Presse and Südkurier. In Freiburg at BZ-Karten-Service, Kaiser-Joseph-Straße 229

Ticket Return

Tickets cannot be returned or canceled unless the event is cancelled or postponed

Vouchers

Vouchers for our ticketed concerts are available in various amounts here. They are valid for three years from the date of purchase.

Vouchers from the old ticket system (not from Reservix) must be redeemed via the ZMF office. Please send an e-mail to office@zmf.de with all the necessary details.

W

Wheather

The festival organizers always keep an eye on the weather during the festival. In the event of a severe weather warning, they will initiate the necessary measures at an early stage.
Unless otherwise communicated, the events will take place as planned.

Concert tickets for the wheelchair area are available from the BZ ticket service at Kaiser-Joseph-Straße 229 or by telephone on +49 761 496 8888.
