All Workshops are held in german. Upon request we can try to accomodate non-german speaking children.
KUNSTRASEN
For another year, the Jugendbildungswerk will be presenting its popular “Kunstrasen” on several days, where young and old can give free rein to their artistic talents at several painting easels. The works can be picked up on site or later at the Haus der Jugend.

GRAFFITTI-WORKSHOP
Have you ever wanted to hold a spray can in your own two hands? Learn spraying in an easy going way? Or do you already bring a lot of experience to the table and want to see your artwork come to live on a wall? Then this is the perfect Workshop for you. It offers theoretical knowledge as well as practical tips to reach your goals. After a short theorie lessonMarleen Thüringer will show you how to handle spraycans correctly and what you should look out for. Like, how can you spray a thin or thick line? Or how do you create a tag? Wheter character or classic lettering. Afterwards Marleen will help you create your own motive.

WORKSHOP OF THE JAZZ- & ROCKSCHOOLS FREIBURG

The Percussion Workshop shows its Participants how the conga, bongo, cowbells, timbales, tamborim, triangle or shaker, bring rythm and melodic structure to the music. They learn various techniques and get a feeling for fitting sounds and effects.
Time: 4pm-5pm
At the instrumentcarousel children between the ages of 6 and 9, get th chance to show their skills on various instruments to try and see, which on is the right fit for them. Besides learning to play on the instruments themselves, the children will also be taught musical basics.

An experienced lighting technician teaches young people basic tips and tricks about lighting technology. This gives them an insight into technical work and allows them to use what they have learned at school events, for example.

MAKE FRUITS SOUND
Makey-Makey Workshop
What does your own DIY-instrument sound like? Together with the Jugendhilfswerk, children and adolescent aged 12 years or older, can find out how fruit, foil or self-build cardboard instruments transform into keys, drums or crazy soundmachines. The inventor-tool Makey Makey converts everyday-day-objects into playable instruments. The workshop connects tinkering, crafting as well as music and invites to learn different techniques in a playful manner. Prior Knowledge is not required.

DE/FR WALKING SKETCH
As part of the Frankreich-Freiburg Day and organized by the Illu e.V., german and french artists invite to participate in an intercultural exchange. In form of duo-walks or comfortably sitting together at the “stammtisch”, all festival guests can sketch together or have a chat. A nice afternoon for old and young including talks, art and entertainment. The materials will be provided at the location.

ACQUARELL MEETS STAMP
Action with the illu e.V.
In this workshop big and small participants can experiment with acquarell colours and colorful paper. We create fun-looking flowers and animals with which one can make individual postcards. The needed equipment and materials will be provided and explained at the location. The course instructor will help with finding ideas, making a draft and creating the art.
The cost for materials will be donation-based.

RADIO-WORKSHOP
In cooperation with Radio Dreyeckland’s youth editorial team “Freistunde FM”, young people with and without radio experience can report on the ZMF. The young people are supported in conducting interviews independently in teams on location, attending concerts and producing editorial reports. These will later be broadcast on Radio Dreyeckland. The workshop is for young people aged between 13 and 20.
