What would our action program and the festival atmosphere be without our performing artists? They get the festival going, greet our visitors on the stage right at the entrance and give them a humorous end to the evening on their way home. For 19 days, it’s all happening on the ZMF stage! And this is what awaits you this year:
THE GREAT WOLYNSKI| July 15th – July 18th
Wolynski is skillful and crazy artist who enchants his audience with his witty manner, audience interaction and tricks.
With just a few words, he creates a comedy show for all audiences and all ages.
He is not only a brilliant clown, but also an exquisite one-man band and his instrument – Giant bicycle horns! with which he transforms his show from time to time into a hilarious folk festival.
HOOP BOOM BOOM| July 19th – July 20th
Hoop Boom Boom is the perfect Cocktail for you party! Incredible Hula-Hoop technique meets original humor and improvisation. The artist reads her audiences minds with comical speech bubbles and irresistible charm… or at least she tries to, all to the rhythm of the 90ies biggest dance-hits! A dashing, unforgettable show.
LOS DIABOLOS MAGICOS| July 21st – July 22nd
Los Diabolos Magicos put on a spectacular show by present their shining diabolos on stage.
Even though some of them are already out of the school circus while others are still in the middle of it, one thing continues to unite them: The love of the circus. The joy of putting on a show, delivering a breathtaking performance to the audience, hearing a resounding applause and looking into astonished faces – and of course the joy of playing the diabolo.
ANDY SNATCH| July 24th – July 27th
Andy Snatch has been leading an exciting life on the streets of Europe for over fifteen years. Rained on in Amsterdam, scorched by the sun in Seville, in the mud and on big stages, Andy has always proved to his audiences that passion is the driving force behind looking beautiful and stupid.
Yet Andy Snatch is very British and is a performer who can laugh at life, people, situations and most of all himself! He juggles hot and sharp objects, constantly plays with his audience’s attention and breaks the laws of gravity.
ANASTASIA SHILYNA| July 28th – July 29th
Once a dancer – today an artist on the aerial ring, that uses her art to tell wonderful stories. Since the visit of a circus school in 2023 Anastasia Shilyna has keep audiences on the edges of their seats with breathtaking performances and modern interpretations, throughout Germany and other countries. On the free hanging aerial, she connects challenging acrobatics with a bold dynamic: an incredibly entertaining show.
ERIC TARANTOLA| July 29th – August 1st
Eric Tarantola creates an unique world of sound by mixing Sound-Bricolage and poetry. With the help of his Guitanjo (half guitar, half banjo), a loop-machine and self-made or recycled instruments he builds a spectacular on-man-orchestra, live on the ZMF Kleinkunstbühne.
A funny, sensitive, and high-energy show where a tinkerer’s humor meets a musician’s magic.
DEEP PURPLE DANCE COLLECTIVE| August 2nd
The Freiburg group Deep Purple Dance Collective invites you to experience a fascinating dance journey along the ancient Silk Road on the ZMF stage.
Inspired by elements of flamenco, North African folklore and belly dance, the FCBD© style celebrates the beauty and strength of women, combines tradition with modern expressiveness and the joy of dancing together.
Let yourself be carried away by impressive costumes, music from 1001 nights and a very special kind of oriental dance.
