With the admission-free grounds, on which the three music stages, one performing arts stage, a pop-up gallery and many different action-spaces are being performed on, the ZMF offers easy access to art and culture of various forms.
But not only guests can submerge in cultural experiences. Also the youngest talents are getting supported actively, by being offered a special stage at the ZMF. School bands, young musicians and music schools get the chance to perform in front of an huge audience, collect valuable experiences and get looked after by professional technicians.
A broad offer of workshops & take-part activities enables interested guests to try out their musical skills in previously unchartered territories.
The ZMF offers a big Potpourri of admission-free program points for young and old and has an unforgettable summer in store for everyone!

CONCERTS
Bands, newcomer and musicians create the perfect setting for the festival and round off the day. An Overview can be found in the official programm under actionprogramm.
Three Concert-Specials, also admission-free, set the highlights in Action line-up:
On July 17th Kochkraft durch KMA is going to ease into the first ZMF-weekend and let punk-heart’s beat faster.
All hip-hop fans should look forward to the 24th of July, where a secret rap-act will perform feminist beats and bars in the Fürstenberg Zelt.
The 1st of August will also be rap-centered: the rap-duo Hinterlandgang celebrates their freiburgese debut and also the last saturday of the festival.
The entire action program will be released in June!
PERFOMING ARTS
Whoever enters the festival grounds, can be let themselves instantly be captivated by the crazy performances of artist, jugglers and clowns on the Kleinkunstbühne. New faces, whose shows have never been in Freiburg before and well known ZMF-legends share this stage.
Get ready for acrobatics, dance, acting and performances that will leave you amazed, make you laugh and sometimes, if you feel like it, even participate.
YOUNGSTARS IN ACTION!
The action program offers young talents the opportunity to showcase their skills and enjoy the spotlight through a variety of formats.
YOUNGSTARS: MACH MIT!
Various workshops and take-part activities invite to interact, try new things and get creative. Whether it’s sound engineering, stamping, dancing, or making music—there’s something new for everyone to learn here.
ZMF ART-SPOT
The ZMF art-spot transform a vital space on the hill to a lively pop-up gallery, featuring visual arts. It focuses on refreshing vision of newcomers and regional subcultures.
ZMF-GARDEN
The ZMF-Garden welcomes its guest in a charming badenese way. On some evenings one can find fitting, musical entertainment following the program in the Zirkuszelt, here.
FAMILY FESTIVAL
ZMF also has a lot to offer for our youngest visitors and families! On the grounds and in the program one can discover quite a few things.
